Wallets, gas and signatures

Your wallet signs requests with a private key. Connecting a wallet normally shares an account address; it does not give a site your private key. A transaction confirmation can transfer assets or grant a contract authority, so read the action rather than relying on the website label.

Keep a reserve of native ETH for gas. A failed transaction can still consume gas. A recovery phrase is equivalent to control of the wallet: no support agent, token claim or liquidity application needs it.
